State Advocacy Network: Expanded reach in 2024

Since the Journey to Success (JTS) campaign launched in 2022, we have partnered with and been guided by a network of state partners. These partners bring local and state stories to life and share data and successful strategies with federal policymakers through in person and virtual visits, emails, phone calls, social media engagement, and op eds.

As our campaign grows, we’re expanding our network and the ways we work with partners. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the federal Chafee Foster Care program in December 2024 we have set the goal of engaging policymakers in 25 states in educational meetings about foster youth before 2025.

The campaign is ready to provide partners with all the necessary tools to proactively initiate advocacy and respond to new opportunities that arise, regardless of whether they are new to federal advocacy or already have strong connections on Capitol Hill.
