Journey to Success is a policy advocacy campaign that seeks to improve opportunities and outcomes for all youth and young adults who experience foster care by promoting their healing, family connections, and economic security.

To advance its goals of guiding federal policy reform, the campaign brings together a diverse network of local, state, and national organizations to share research, analysis, and a full range of perspectives with policymakers. Youth leaders with lived experience (LEx) in foster care are involved in every aspect of the campaign.

National partners include Think of Us, FosterClub, the National Foster Parent Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, Youth Law Center, and others.

State-based campaign partners — co-convened by FosterClub and the Partnership for America’s Children — include:

Importantly, the campaign’s policy framework and recommendations are shaped by the priorities, input, and involvement of individuals in and from foster care. We are grateful for the daily contributions of the many LEx leaders working alongside us as policy advisors, messengers, communications strategists, and more — including our Founding LEx Partner, Huyanna Clearwater.

A core campaign team manages the day-to-day activities of the campaign. The campaign welcomes all input and ideas and looks forward to making connections.
